Once your access has been activated, we recommend that you first check a few basic settings.

This will ensure that transport requests are placed correctly and that suitable carriers are reached.

Only users with administrator rights can make the following adjustments.

Check company data and profile

Basic master data has been stored for your company in accordance with your registration.

Please check this information carefully before using the platform for the first time.

Under Company Profile, you can also:

enter a short description of your company
add information about shipping volumes, typical shipments or special features
provide additional information that may be helpful to freight forwarding partners

This information helps freight forwarders to better classify your transport requests.

Store transport conditions and notes

In the Transport Conditions section, you can centrally maintain important general information, such as:

Quotation and award conditions
Loading times and collection windows
Additional notes on processing
A link to your company website where general purchasing or transport conditions are stored

This information is displayed to shipping partners when they make enquiries and ensures clarity and comparability.

Add additional users (optional)

You can give other employees in your company their own access to your spotcargohub account.

Typical use cases for this are:

Multiple employees create transport enquiries
Substitute arrangements in case of absence
Better internal coordination > all company transactions visible

Using your account with multiple users speeds up your work and decision-making processes.

Set up your favourite freight forwarders

Your existing business relationships with your freight forwarding partners are displayed in your favourite freight forwarders list. Your favourites are automatically included in every transport request.

Here's how to do it:

Go to ‘Find freight forwarders’
Search by name, mode of transport or location
Click on ‘+’ for the desired freight forwarding partner
Select one or more modes of transport for a connection
Confirm the connection > DONE

You can adjust or remove freight forwarding connections at any time

Once you have made these basic settings, you can submit your first transport request. Enter all the relevant information about your transport needs and receive quotes from suitable freight forwarders.
